What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Snakewood e-shop respects your privacy. We handle your personal information in a respectful manner. We are responsible for all personal information given to us by you, such as name, address, and other obligatory information needed when registering as well as ordering at Snakewood. We will not pass any of your personal information to third parties.

The name and postal address are used when processing orders and delivering merchandise.

We use your e-mail address only for informations about your orders, payments and shipping.

For informations about new releases we can send information e-mails prior user’s consent.

Contact forms

If you leave a comment or message on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a message, the message and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Digital Products and taxes policy

You can download digital products such as recordings and musical editions from our website.

As of January 1st 2015 everyone who sells digital products to European customers will need to charge VAT based on where their customers are based. In this sense, the 2015 EU VAT legislation requires two non-conflicting pieces of evidence to be produced so as to determine what VAT rate should be applied to these digital goods sales.

Snakewood Editions must preserve by law sale and customer information for at least 10 years. This information should include:

• – The country to which the product has been sold
• – The type of product
• – The date of sale
• – The local VAT
• – The amount to be paid in local currency
• – The date and method of receipt of payment
• – The invoice
• – The name of the client
• – The information for determining the consumers country, i.e. their IP address and billing information

Snakewood Editions will store this information for taxes propuse and we will NEVER share this information with others.

WooCommerce

We use Woocommerce to manage the products in our website.

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

• – Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
• – Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
• – Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
