Alba Encinas was born in Onda, Spain, where she starts her preliminary music studies. After studying in Castellón, Salamanca and Barcelona her interest on historical performance began and brought her to study baroque violin in Amsterdam, Brussels and Krakow. Her main teachers were Sophie Gent, Sirka-Lisa Kaakinen-Pilch, Mira Glodeanu and Shunske Sato.

She has played with ensembles such as Nederlandse Bachvereniging, Holland Baroque, Les Inventions, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Les Musiciens du Louvre, European Union Baroque Orchestra and Amsterdam Corelli Collective.

Since 2015 she is the artistic leader of Orquesta Volvemos, an ensemble which gathers Spanish musicians living abroad.
